For those of you that have not been to the Bash before and if you can drag yourselves away from the site here is a little list that may be of some use to you

Things To Do In Area

· Stone House Cottage, walled garden,A448 from the town, Tel: 01562 69902
· Severn Valley Steam Railway, steam trains on this popular line winds its way through forests and the Severn Valley to Bewdley and Bridgenorth. One of the largest collections in England can be seen at Bewdley Tel: 01299 403816
· West Midland Safari Park, on A456 between Kidderminster and Bewdley
· Kingsford Country Park, north on A449, pine forests, walks, trails.
· Clent Hills Country Park, walking oasis, A456 north east.
· Hartlebury Castle, A449 south, official residence of Bishop Of Worcester, state rooms, Tel: 01299 250416
· Witley Court, Great Witley, A451 south, ruined Jacobean house rebuilt as a Italianate palace, fountain, gardens, lake, shop etc Tel: 01299 896636
· Malvern Hills, walking
· Bewdley Town
· Worcester Town
· Forest Glades Leisure Centre in Kidderminster (for rainy days but it wont) this has swimming pool with slides and wave machine.
· Swimming Baths in Stourport, just over bridge on left.
· Stourport Fun Fair
· Stourport Park (Next to bridge 20 to 25 mins walk along the river bank from camp site or 5 to 10 on bicycle) Children’s play area, paddling pool, Go karts, Bumper Boats
· Stourport River Fishing

Think we're going to get nuked over at Cosford aren't we? Hope there's no overpriced National Trust cafe there - doubt it somehow :lol:

If you're feeling adventurous, Go Ape has just opened in the Wyre Forest near Bewdley, looks horrific!! :D

As someone who used to live nearby the West Midlands Safari Park is blummin' excellent - both "halves" would be a great day out on their own, never mind both.

Even better is that you get a pass for the same number of people to return in the same car up to six months (I think) later, so you can either go again for free at some later date, go again the day after (I've done that before - each visit is always different as the animals move round, do different things and suchlike), or go again with a different carload of people!

Witley Court is spectacular, and the Malvern Hills are wonderful (I'm biased - I used to live nearly as high up on them as you can get!)

the church at whitley court is amazing , wont say too much it just has to be seen to be believed all im going to say is go in and look up .

yes i think the return passes for the safari last until just before they have the bonfire so plenty of time to return .
