Replacing rear tailgate!!

Hi to all!

After going to france with a bike rack on the back we managed to dent the rear tailgate quite badly, but thanks to the wonderful world of ebay have managed to find a replacement!

But now we have the replacement i was wondering if anyone had replaced the tailgate themselves? Wanted to know how difficult it might be, i know i have to change the locks and some of the electrics will need to be sorted, but is it something a novice could do?
