Bongo Fury

I am about to embark on this job. I have done the front links and as a result have bought proper hex box spanner set to get a good grip on the awkward nuts. Can I do them one side at a time - i.e jack up at the rear on one side, remove wheel and proceed, then lower and repeat on other side or do I have to get both back wheels off the ground at once. If so any hints as to where to position 'axle stands'. I've crawled underneath (as far as my girth allows!) but cant really see enough to know whether the droplink nuts are in as confined a position as the front ones or if there is much more space to turn a spanner - any comments appreciated.

The arb bushes look ok - is it difficult to replace these or let sleeping dogs lie and if replacing can it be done one side jacked at a time.

i did them with the wheels on the ground.

If not sure it would probably be best to even it out by axle staning both sides and doing it.
it was a easy job to do

you should put it back on level ground before finally nipping them up

dont tighten up with wheels hanging down

as you overload them when you lower it if you do

Same here, done with wheels on ground, no problems. Also did my ARB bushes and brackets at the same time. ( and I'm no small girth aswell)

I bodged my front anti-roll bar bushes using the Dandywarhol method of sleeving them with bicycle inner tube held in with evostick (just so the sleeving stayed in place while I refitted the bushes. Worked a treat and you'd never know
