I got 2 questions for you all!
Firstly, how do you get access to the stereo speakers in the doors and back panels? Can you just pop the covers off or do you have to remove the panels?
Secondly, my Freda's got a sort of fabric mesh thingy stuck on the rear screen which is starting to come off. Is this stuff easy to get off and will it damage the heated rear window element?
Ta and happy Bongoing!

The speaker covers are part of the panels as far as I know so the whole pannel must come off
Rear mesh I haveno idea but it has come up before so it should be on the forum some where

Although the rear speaker grills are part of the panels the speakers themselves are fixed to the wall of the Bongo so you will need to remove the interior trim completely (or near enough) to be abel to gain access. Easy enough to do just try not to break / lose any clips as you do it!!

Thanks guys. Think I'll leave the speakers for a bit!!!!
The mesh stuff is like a privacy screen-strange as the rest of the side windows have dark tint privacy glass fitted. The mesh is dark on the inside and is see-through from inside but stops people looking in from the outside-a bit like those sun blinds you buy to stick on your windows when you got babies in the car. It's stuck on to the inside of the tailgate window. I have seem similar stuff on other grey imports.
It's starting to look horrible cos it's peeling off. I want to remove it but I'm afraid of causing more damage!

the rear window you could try with a hair dryer to warm it and peel gently. if it causes too much damage check your insurance covers windows and slip with a ladder and get a new one

The mesh on the back window will come of fine using the heat of the hairdryer. In fact we did ours on a sunny day and didn't really need the hairdryer in the end. Go gently as you pull it off cutting bits off as you peel it back.

Not all bongo's have rear speakers fitted (despite a full compliment of speaker grilles) Some have just one rear speaker fitted curiously...
Rear bench/split seats out...Rear panels off to gain access to the speakers. The speaker grilles appear to be pop off items, but they are actually plastic welded to the panel from the inside.
The front door panel removal is self explanatory, no hidden screws or clips to worry about.

This is what you will be looking at at the back of the grill when you cut the plastic rivet heads off..

The wiring was already there in in the back of mine..

I managed to pop the grills back on after fitting speakers in the rear..
