tracking and balance

Hi all, thanks for replies about veg oil. can anyone give me advice on tracking, balance setup. van pulling to the left. had tracking, balance tyre pressure checked. just wondered if there is correct settings. cheers paul

Tracking should be between -1 & 7mm toe in, parallel seems to be favourite, that's how mine's set, runs fine

thanks for prompt reply, have you had any pobs with steering. if i let go of the wheel it pulls of to left, not badly but you have to hold wheel back.

Doesn't pull to the left, but the natural camber of the road along with gravity eventually should veer left rather than right if it's set up ok. Try it on a level car park & see if it's any different, if you were to drive on the opposite side of the road (not in this country obviously
) it should veer to the right, out of the path of oncoming traffic in both cases.

Or find a straight stretch of cambered country lane with good sight line and no cars coming the opposite way and drive on the right hand side for a bit. But don't say I told you so
(although my driving instructor always reminded me that in the absence of white lining that you absolutely must not cross, then you should use all the road as you think best provided you are confident no-oe is coming the otther way. A bit extreme perhaps but it was 40 years ago
)

Another thing to consider is to swap the front tyres around. That is if they are not directional tyres. Sounds daft but known to work.
Still worth getting the tracking checked, I had mine done last year on one of those posh 4 wheel laser systems, it was okay but on other cars it wasn't and it did make a difference.
