Sorry for the fast introduction but I cannot get my diesel bongo to start???

Was running okay and now gone to start it after a week of not touching it and nothing. It will start on easy start but then will cut out once the easy start has been burnt etc

Took off fuel filter and it was full of fuel but cracking off fuel pipes going to injectors i seem to be getting no fuel? Is the pump on the way out? Sorry but I am not that good with explaining stuff.

The glow plugs are okay and were tested fine. Have got 12v going to them to.

Just seems like a lack of fuel. Any common problems on the Bongo?

Thank you for your quick reply.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge with the bongo but where is the stop solenoid located? Why would this just play up?

Sorry ---- Profile location updated, Cambridge.

I will have a look at the solenoid tomorrow as the Bongo is stuck at work, much to the announce of the security guards but I cant do much about it. Hopefully the solenoid is just stuck and can be easily lubricated and "freed".

I'll keep you posted.

tested, 12v going to it and nothing appears stuck on it.

I took off the fuel filter and that is full of fuel. Does the high pressure pump suck the fuel to it, or does a lift pump pump push the fuel to it?

when cracking off injectors I get not fuel....

any ideas?

Have you checked the little banjo filter? If you remove the pipe, that takes the fuel to the pump, from the top of the pump, it's located at the bottom of the hole - I used a cotton bud to get mine out. These often block and give fuel starvation.

Hi you will have to unscrew the solenoid to check it,some times the rubber seat comes off and stops the fuel from going to the pump.Have a look at GEOFFs thread there is a picture there that will help you.

If you are not confident Get a Mechanic. :P

All the best Malc.
