JustKampers
http://www.justkampers.com/search2?keyw ... ubmit.y=11 sell various roof seals. I haven't got around to checking for compatibility properly yet, but from memory the "general purpose seal" (JK13096) looked as if it might do the job.

Hi
As far as I can see, it's not an unusual seal . There used to be a dealer in rubber car components like seals around Edgware. They had a huge catalogue supplying to the classic car world in the 60s/70s, and last I heard , they were still around. Try asking around the car restorers in the classic car world....Richardsons for MGs for instance....the seal on an MG Maggot hard top was not dis-similar....I bought mine for a new hard-top....I seem to remember....from the Edgware chap.
Cheaper than Mazda, I'll wager
Cheers

Hi
Here you are....I knew my memory wouldn't let me down

....try sending them a 1/2 inch offcut from your old seal to match it, and temporarily stick a bit of duct tape over the gap where you remove it, to stop the water getting in.
http://www.rubbertrim.co.uk/
Don't forget to order more than you need, as fitting the trim round curves and corners uses FAR MORE than you imagine, and ask for any joiner section where the two ends meet
Good Luck, and let us know how thee fares
Cheers
Helen

An excellent post. It would be good to hear the outcome and to have info added to a factsheet or similar as tthis one is bound to come up again with our ageing Bongo fleet
