Hi All

Any advice most gratefully received :D

I fitted a single wire alarm to my bongo on the weekend - very straightforward even for me and fit for purpose as I just want to protect the Bongo when we are camping etc.

However I had to reposition the bracket for easier access so I'm left with 2 additional holes as well as the three supporting the bracket After much frustration and ruined cross threads etc. I got the alarm positioned but due to the additional time I neglected to paint any of the holes with hammerite as planned. My question is should I be worried? I have a two battery 1998 AFT, I'm just worried the holes may rust very quickly given the various discussions on this forum

Many thaks in anticipation

If the holes can't be seen then just give the area a quick rub with emery to remove any rust and apply the hammerite. Otherwise remove rust, filler, rub down and paint.

Or if not visible use waxoyl or even copper grease, just anything that will get in there and prevent rust.
