Rear coolant pipe required

Can anyone help? I need to replace the rear coolant pipe that runs behind the engine clipped to the chassis. It is corroded at the end on the offside of the van where it connects to the rear heater hose.
My van is an M reg 2.5 td 2wd. I tried the vin number on the Russian owners site to get the exact date of manufacture but it crashed.
I`ve checked all of the available database info (for all years of manufacture, looking at cooling systems and rear heater) but cannot seem to find this pipe?
I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for the replies but it is none of the these.
I will attempt to take a photo and maybe someone will recognise it.

Jacqui - can you confirm that it is a metal pipe you are looking for rather than the rubber type that are what most folk tend to replace? I think there are only a small number of suppliers who can get these, & I seem to recall Bellhill Garage have been able to help out before. Give Tom or Keith a call on 01373 834252 - I'm sure they will be able to assist.

It is a metal pipe and it runs from drivers to passenger side at the rear of th engine.
I will attempt a photo tonight, trouble is that it is best viewed from under the van.
If all else fails I think I could cut out the damaged end and make a repair with 16mm heater hose and a straight connector. (but would like a new one if possible)

Thanks for the additional info.
Jacqui.

Hi,

I think you will find the copper heating pipe way too small for what you need, I think the internal diameter of the coolant hoses are 19mm. Best secure a new or good 2nd hand pipe.

The external diameter of the rear coolant metal pipes is about 17mm, definitely check the internal bore is the same though if you're going to use heating pipe.

Sorry, the hose I was going to use is 16mm bore car heater hose, I've measured the OD of the steel pipe and it's 16mm.
Still looking like my best option up to now.

Might be worth trying these guys - http://www.nipponautospares.com/ for the genuine part, or try one of the bongo breakers.
