Central locking query

Hi
Does anyone know the colour of the door wire for the central locking...mine has stopped working...I've checked the fuse, and I suspect a broken wire in the bundle coming from the drivers door...also the wing mirror...I know that IS a broken wire, as a quick wiggle of the bundle gets it working again
Any help appreciated
Cheers
Helen

Hi helen & Tony, if you check my posts on central locking you will find I have been doing a lot of work sorting mine ,I have a `99 model and I dont know if things change with different models but mine is fuse number 1 , 10amp and the supply wire to the door is purple&blue and the two return signal wires are yellow&red and white&black good luck Colin newbie

Hi
Thanks
I'll check tomorrow....the fuse is No.4 ..@ 30 amps on mine, but that's O.K. I'll have a look at the door wire, and if not, it's the door card off. The remote works the driver's door popple, so it's either a wire, or the switch on the driver's door keylock....more later when I've found it....
Cheers
Helen

Hi
Abra Cadabra....
Now, folks, if you utter these words as you operate the faulty central locking....the darned thing starts working again. Now I am sure the fault was in the driver's door wire, so....I'm thinking that as the door wires are a common fault, if we could get the door grommets and suitable plugs, it may be worth while getting a batch of replacement loom sections made up. No doubt I can find someone over here to make them cheaply, and send them en-masse to the UK via courier if people are interested
Cheers
