Snatchin inner wheel on lock

Hi
I've noticed on dry dusty roads, and more so on very cold VERY wet roads, and snow, that on hard lock (slightly less than full lock) that the inside wheels snatch as they slip...more noticeable lately, on snow, or perhaps I'm looking harder. Would this be normal
The last time i jacked the front up to see if I had VC windup, there was no problem
Any thoughts appreciated
Cheers
Helen

Hi Helen&tony,
Yep perfectly normal, this happens to all vehicles unless fitted
with a Limited Slip Diff: the inside wheels will scrabble and spin

Hi
Thanks Dolly....pretty much what I thought, except it seems to happen more over here....Even driving my Landys off-road every week in England, I never got that much spin , unless really stuck...and I always maintain that if you're that stuck, you don't know what you're doing
Probably just the bad roads here, and the amount of mud/slime washed down from the hills here making the roads greasier than I imagined.
Cheers
Helen
