Bongo Fury

Following a routine check my local garage the mechanic spotted a small hole that needs welding on the front Cross member

He said it was a big job that needs the chassis dropped to get at the said cross member as it is too close to the radiator to weld as it is .

He said he cant give an exact price but could be up to £300 plus

Is he right about having to drop the chassis and the price or should I try another garage

Bongos haven't got a chassis He might have to remove the radiator to gain access to plate the crossmember - sounds like he's milking it a bit.................
