Carb Cleaner and plastic

Hi,

I'm thinking to clean my MAF sensor and intake with carb cleaner soon.

It's on a V6 petrol and access to the intake is hard to get at, being at the top rear of the engine.

Does carb cleaner attack plastic?

I was wondering if I could just spray it into the air intake with the air filter off.

Not sure if this will be effective or not, but was also concerned the cleaner may attack the plastic pipe.

Realised that is a bit of an open ended question.

Done some research and realised that some cleaners will damage rubber/plastic and some won't.

Think it's best to get something like Wurth intake cleaner that is designed for what I'm trying to do, is fine with plastic and can be used neat to clean, or squirted into the intake/MAF sensor etc with the engine running no problem.
