Did you know...Toyota do a Red coolant that has a reagent in it which turns the coolant yellow at the first sign of exaust gasses in the mix ???

Just what I was thinking, Toyota must have had a lot of gasket problems to go to that trouble.

Don't know much about it...Saw it on a Land Cruiser forum whilst researching a new type of sensor for us to use.

When I had my headgasket repaired at a garage which turned out bad, they were repairing a head on a toyota previa, and the chap said that that is what they were used to, so from that I can only assume that they had repaired a few toyota headgaskets in their time as mechanics.

What do you think Haydn - worth a further look? Could something similar be done using the toyota fluid as a test device perhaps?

The Previa and Estima have similar problems to the Bongo as they share a similar coolant system design.
