Bongo Fury

Hi, wonder if anyone could help me here, i got my backpack stolen on friday which had my bongo key keys and a letter with my adress on it inside. So my course of action will be to change all of the locks on the van including the ignition.

I have two questions

1. where do i buy a replacement set of locks and ignition

2. how easy are they to fit yourself or is it a trip to a garage

any help appreciated

Hi Ralph. I had my keys stolen during a burgalry last summer. The insurance (Lifesure) sorted it without affecting my NCB. If you've not tried yet - call them first.

I kept the originals hence have a full spare set of locks & keys, if you need them I can post tomorrow.

What did you say to lifesure did they cover the cost for the new locks, my only problem is that letter in my back was my insurance policy i was sorting stuff out my mot so had it in my backpack

how much would you want for the locks and does that include the ignition

You could try the breakers that advertise on this site, or send a PM to Harry (he may have them left from his). No idea how easy to fit they are, I'm afraid

In the small print, theft of keys is covered.

Yes, they paid for the lot BUT, they used an outfit called UK Assistance. If they offer you the same, I'd strongly recommend sourcing an alternative - which they allow you to do. UK Ass took 5 weeks. They gave me a little Kia courtesy car but really took the p*ss timewise.

So they supplied the locks and someone to fit them, did you have to suplly them with a crime reference number etc

Yep.

I had all the Bongo keys stolen at the weekend so need a replacement set of locks - preferably ASAP!!
Anyone advise who can do this economically in the Bristol area? Insurance not going to pay up (well not without excess and taking away NCB)

Keys turned up!!!!! under washing!!!!
Happy Dayz (they still stole my Seat Leon though - couldn't find that under dirty washing).
