Interesting murmering

Been having a bit of trouble starting Bongo the last few days.....Put it down to my radio being left on and draining the battery....charged the battery....started o.k. ...... then difficult to start again....slow to turn over ..... to-day whilst going up the tip to do the recycleing the Low Coolant Alarm started to "murmmer".....plenty of coolant........difficult to start even when warm ???????.....checked battery voltage 12.4 volts......ckecked with engine running....12.4 volts......checked Alternator output.....14.2volts....checked all relevant fuses...all o,k......checked the battery isolater terminals and although they were pretty tight I managed a 1 eighth turn on one of them.....checked voltage again with engine running...14.2 volts....Problem solved.
Lesson learned !!! if your Low Coolant alarm starts to murmmer whilst driving (coolant o.k.) it could well be a poor battery terminal connection or your alternator not putting out any volts....The LCA is so sensitive to being subject to low voltage that it lets you know. Somthing to bare in mind if you ever think your LCA is playing up....Quite handy to know....saved me just sticking a new battery on.
