Electrical questions from a complete beginner....

Just got our first Bongo: a couple of questions please:
The 3 pin plug sockets don't work (we have a zig unit) - do they only work when on a static main hook up? or is there something wrong?
Does the leisure battery charge continously when the engine is running?
Sorry for the basic questions - complete novice.

Welcome to the madhouse
Sockets will only work when you are hooked up to the mains.
I believe it depends on which way you have the switch set, but somebody with one will soon be along

the lb will only charge if there is a charger in the electric system, either built into the zig unit or wired up separately.
as said before the socket will only work from the mains hook up.

The rest depends on how everything has been wired up.
It would be normal for the leisure battery to charge via a split charge relay, so this should charge as you drive. The zig (CF8) has a basic built in split charge function which assuming the unit is wired according to the manufacturers instructions will connect the two batteries as long as you have the switch on the unit set to 'Touring' - the only trouble, if you forget to switch back when on site, you drain both batteries, so I would always use a relay as well.
