Bongo Fury

I haven't used the Bongo for 6 days and, wouldn't you know it, went to start it this morning and....nada, zip, bugger all. My question is; if I use the EHU and switch the Zig 9 12v system to 'Car', will this charge the starter battery?

Short answer is Yes - assuming its wired up to both batteries.

It will probably take a very long time as I don't think the Zig units push out much current. They're intended to top up a reasonably healthy battery, rather than charge a completely flat one. Might be quicker to use a conventional charger. You can often pick up a really nice one from Lidl / Aldi for about a tenner.

There are several Zig chargers available there web site is here the smallest charger / supply wil give you 12.5A @13.8 volts the larger one gives 16 A. These obviously both charge and supply the electricals when connected to the mains. Most of the small chargers available from Lidl etc will only give about 4A. So I think you will find, like we do, that recharging either the L/B or S/B is not much of a problem just remember to leave the switch in the right position overnight or when ever your charging!

Useful info about the charging current - I stand corrected about the output of the Zig unit
