I cant seem to find from the "search" the answer that I want, just wondering if anyone can help?
Symptom........When aircon button is pressed the Rad fans don't kick in and so the Aircon is not working
The air con button illuminates okay but there is no "drop" in engine revs nor a relay "click".
apart from fuses to check, where do I look for any relay(s) or other parts to check?
It was fine up to 2 days ago until I washed the Bongo and hosed the salt from the wheel arches (not sure if that is significant or not)
Thanks in advance folks...........

just a bit of additional info..........it's very cold here for messing' with motors (-1.3c) according to my weather station but I have checked fuse 16........that is not blown and it controls heater fans/aircon switch.........so its the bit after the switch I am interested in.......
anyone got a sketch or diagram to assist me before I have to delve into the soul of the Bongo?

Well Dandy you were right although mine waited until an indicated 6c before the switch kicked the fans in...........
So the moral is........for those who run their aircon weekly...........don't assume (like me) it will run at low temperatures......
My Citroen does though..........

Yep - don't know why it does that but I think my recently recharged system is ok..........................

Quite a few aircon systems have a bottom line temp below which they won't work but it varies widely.

Just to add some more info here, I have just had my system recharged by a local company and all is well even at today's 1c, he did the usual A/C thing with his machine and low and behold he said to me all is well with the system, just needed a top up....
we tried it yesterday, all snuggly warm front and back then to icy cold (ok the ambient was cold too) with the aircon and levers to cold - at least it has enlightened me and hopefully others by running this thread, thanks for everyone's input

Excellent. And at the risk of teaching you to suck eggs (but I didn't know this - and so many other things - until I got a Bongo), the aircon, used with heater set to hot, is a superb dehumidifier / windscreen demister

Cheers Mike, I like you pass on what I find that could be of use , the main reason I asked for tips regarding the air con was the winter demisting properties....

and lo and behold, it wasn't working much...if at all...... everyone should use it, it demists brill and you make sure the air con gets switched on during the winter spell too...
