It seems right enough to me for the money... Looks like it may need waxoiling, and the high silver on the sides doesn't tally with the age of the freda, look carefully at panel gaps, and take a good long look at the slab sides for any discrepencies...

It seems a bit odd to me. It says on the number plate that it is an 'N' reg and the description describes it as having ABS. I thought that ABS was not added to Bongos until around 1998.

That forecourt looks familiar

and I think I may have looked at a Bongo there a couple of years ago.
Can't be certain but remember looking at a van that had a great big vinyl panel down each side trying to hide a multitude of sins

it also had some funky graphics applied to attract your attention
Wouldn't mind having those headrest monitors though

ABS was optional in 1995, and became standard fitment in late 96 early 97.

Some dealers use stock photographs. Should be marked as library photographs. When you get there it's a different motor.

One quick thought joe-robo. If you have a tintop that is a good car in every respect apart from not having a lift top, then is it worth cosidering having a lifting roof fited to it. This can be done for as little as £1k approx. and there is a lot to recommend the manual roof. Less to go wrong, less weight up top so you keep better handling, acceleration, fuel economy etc. Also, the Bongo may well stay under the height barrier limit. As converted tintops become more common, I believe the market will consider buying them as a sensible alternative to the AFT (you want a good base vehicle if you are a shrewd buyer). Going down this route avoids all the complexity of p/x and possible £ loss during the transaction etc. plus the risk of selling a good 'un and buying a duff 'un.
BF member Platty345 (Mark) in Swinton has gone down this route and is very happy. If you've not seen his Bongo, why not PM him to discuss.
Apologies if you've considered all this already and ruled it out.
Happy hunting whatever route you take

this was my first thought of action,i havn't seen a tintop conversion so dont know the ins and outs...what companys are offering this service who are good?
the price of aft's have dropped rapidly over the last 6months.... so there really isn't a price difference in a tintop conversion or an aft....
