I know there is a comprehensive fact sheet in the members area,

but has anyone got any photographs on how to replace the glow plugs.
I am terrified of doing it wrong

and like to visualise what I am doing.

I guess it's simply down to no-one having taken photos of this job.
And being reluctant to take their plugs out
just for a photo-shoot

I don't suppose anybody's taken photos because, if you remove the engine bay "lid", it's an easy job

It probably is an easy job to do .
However coming from a working environment where " See one, Do one and teach one" school of thought , I thought I might ask if anyone has a photo
Never mind Eh
My Glow plugs should arrive this week I will change them on the weekend using the fact sheet
Thanks

Sorry pilajake, the garage replaced mine, whilst she was in for replacement cambelt... Just be aware of the differing sizes of plug, i think it's quite straightforward to replace them.

Leave it a good 5-6 seconds after the glowplug light goes out till you crank the engine, it may help a little....

I was asking as I bought some new ones to do mine. I had clouds of white smoke on start up.
I followed the fact sheet, and it was fairly easy job. That is until you come to get the glow plugs out, but my local motor shop sold me a long reach 12mm socket for £2.50 and a strech bar for another £2 and the plugs were changed in 15 minutes after that.
I worked on a cold engine, and it fired first turn with no smoke at all.
Very pleased. And sorry no pictures either
