our top hose between engine and radiator has split and we need a new one. Our garage can't get one. Does anyone know were we can get one or if there is an appropriate alternative from another car we can use/

Bit stuck so any help would be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Just search on "flippa" and "hoses" and you'll find a link to member flippa's shop where he sells silicone ones for less than the cost of ordinary original ones.

The Bongo has 2 top hoses...one runs from the Rad to the metal pipe (under the bonnet) and the other from the "other" end of the metal pipe to the engine (under drivers seat)

You will find them here or on ebay.

There is not a hose from the engine to the rad. There is one which leaves the top of the rad (this is gotatable from under the bonnet.)
The other leaves the top/front of the engine getatable from under the drivers seat/underneath bongo.
The one under the drivers seat is normally the first to go. (it gets the hottest coolant)also when it gets old and swells it rubs on a couple of sharp bits and wears away. Check this one out if it's the other and change both whilst your about it.....Do you know hoe to bleed the system when youv'e changed it/them ?? If you don't make sure you find out and if a garage is doing it make sure they do. If they haven't done a few bongos there is a good chance they will mess up.
Download the "bleeding" factsheet

Put a location up Shadow, its easier to point you to assistance if we know where you are.

If you are still not too sure which coolant hoses you require, then I suggest that you send a PM to Flippa containing photographs of the damaged hoses pasted onto the PM using Photobucket.
Flippa will then be able to tell you which hoses you require and give you an estimate as to the cost.

Hi there.

I would check the metal pipe as well between the hoses whilst it is appart. This can corrode.
