Coolant DIPSTICK

Had a couple of peeps ask how a dipstick would work to measure the coolant level in a stained header tank.
Get yourself a "plain wood pencil" (not easy to see coolant on a shiny surface) or a long lolly stick would do.MARK THE STICK 2cms or 3/4inch FROM THE BOTTOM)
WITH THE ENGINE COLD>
Take off the tank pressure cap and put the stick down the opening keeping it as vertical as possible until it touches the bottom of the tank. You need to ajust the coolant level untill it comes up to the mark on the stick.
1/4 inch above or below will make little differance but if you get it "spot on" the mark it will be better for checking in the future and seeing if any coolant has been lost.

I've just bought 100 sticks and I will mark them and give them out at the bash (Stourport) FOC or anyone can have one sent for the price of a stamp. I will also put one in every alarm ordered for a Bongo.
They might have a bit of advertising on.!!!!!Not that you will need one if you fit a alarm !!!!!

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

It seems a bit silly asking peeps to send a SA Envolope to get a dipstick which I want to give away free.
That would cost you 2 stamps to get a stick which is worth at best 5p.
What I propose is to put them in my shop below at 50p and I will post you one.
If you dont want to go through the hassel of the checkout you can get my PayPal email address from the site and just PayPal..send money to that address.
Hope that makes sense...
Or .. make your own !!
