midlands day meet?

If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

midlands day meet?

Post by mrs hogggman » Wed Nov 19, 2008 6:13 pm

hi,
i was thinking today,about how the midlands lot don`t meet up very much,and how it would be lovely to have a day meet somewhere at a weekend.i know there are a few of us around,with a lot more bongo owners slightly further afield.so,i wondered whether anyone would like to meet up,perhaps in matlock,carsington water,or maybe at somewhere like castleton or ladybower?it`d be nice if there was something to do,and of course a nice big carpark to fit us all in.it`d be lovely to put faces to names,and get together.
i`m not really concerned with organising everything,but if anyone wants to suggest somewhere,or say that they`d like to meet up,that`d be great.i know there have been problems organising things in the past,so we could always do this by pm if need be.
please let me know what you think?

We would be up for it, depends where and when though. Matlock tends to be packed at weekends though!

[quote="mrs hogggman"]hi,
I know there are a few of us around

Probably more than any of us think. Happy to consider a day meet. Hopefully not to far North or South.

Woops!! Should also have said not to far West as well :) I think Nottingham according to the Bongo map is probably more Eastern Counties than Midlands.

We wouldn't mind Stratford. It might be posible to get parked up by the butterfly farm-by the River on a Sunday. Nice Pub there, butterfly farm and playground for kids. Or the racecourse area (caravan/Rally park) if more than a few. Also Bidford(not far from Stratford) village they have a big river edge carpark for pinics etc and nice walks, playground and pub/restuaurant
I can check if interested.

Cheers Anna
