BMW clock bulb

Managed to get a BMW clock/cubby in excellent condition from ebay at a good price. No plug on the wiring, but with the aid of a soldering iron and heatshrink sleeves I've got that sorted and it's working just fine - apart from a blown bulb. Its in a black bulb holder, and the wires from the bottom of the bulb are soldered directly to the contacts in the holder. So - it looks like the unit has to be replaced completely - bulb AND holder. Are these easy to get hold of at a reasonable price? If not, is it worth me trying to solder in another bulb? Thanks

If these don't fit then your clock has been modified.

Hi - This is mine:

The business end looks the same, its just the bottom that's different - so mine is probably just the "Blick" variant of the same thing. The diameter at the widest point is 12.5mm.

by the way that bulb looks good...have you put it across a battery ?? it's not a LED is it co's they are polarity sensitive. Take out rotate 180 degrees and replace.

Excellent! Greatly appreciated.

'Fraid the bulb is definitely gone - I can see the break in the filament, and I tried it on a battery.
