Embarrassingly, my Q is about the subject above

In my defence, the Bongo is completely new to me, and I've tried 'everything' except force...

I'm talking about the very rear door/hatch. It has the key lock outside - which seems to work ok - and two huge grab handle which don't appear to 'move'. It does open from the inside (even that took me a few goes - jeepers, you have to "pull 'n' turn"...)

The key in the rear lock turns to lock/unlock, but doesn't seem to want to go any further (ie: to 'release' the door).

Help please - but keep it quiet, will you?

I'll say this quietly so nobody but us can hear... There is a handle in the middle of the rear panel, up above out of sight... have a feel under the lip of the panel...shhhh!

I was exactly the same when I first brought mine home,took me 20 minutes to find the handle (above the rear no plate!!

Easy mistake to make at first... And to all the tintop/bongolow owners that are now searching for the tailgate release on the INSIDE of the tailgate.... Don't bother, there isn't one!

Just the interior, although I suspect the other one is still there, underneath the panel

It's a secret twist of the rear fog lamp bulb, but if I told you that I'd have to kill you - OOPS!!!!!!
