I replaced front drop links about 18 months ago and now they are rattling again . Is this normal.

I don't think so. But were they genuine Mazda ones or ebay cheapies / Vauxhall Vectra ones as I've heard someone else (DreamWarrior - Mike I think) say their cheap replacements only lasted 2yrs so maybe that's how it does. Lets see what others have to say.......

Incidentally, did you do antiroll bar bushes at the same time as otherwise it might be them and not the droplinks that are starting to clonk.

I bought mine off ebay & after 11 months, the rubber gaitors had perished, several other people reported the same. I got in touch with the seller & got a free replacement set, which I have still to fit, mine are just starting to rattle a bit again at about 14 months I guess.

Oh no, I bought cheepies off e-bay a few months ago.

Dont think they were genuine mazda parts. Where is the cheapest place to get genuine drop links from.

I got the same as Kirsty with the same result of them needing replacements in about 14 months

I have yesterday taken delivery of new drop links for the front from the club shop

along with rears and arb bushes and brackets all round

so Im hoping these drop links last consideraby longer than the last

Had mine on for 2 years now...supplied and fitted by Allens of Plymouth.....still as good as the day they went on. You gets what you pay for....cheap normally ends up expensive.

It'd be worth dropping the guy that sold them to you a line, at least he'll know he's selling rubbish then, if no-one gives him feedback, he won't know

Probably true but even genuine only come with 12 month guarentee
