The closest postcode I can find is the chew valley sailing club which is BS40 8XN
The picnic area is on Walley lane almost where it becomes Wallycourt road out of Chew Magna. (strange the e is dropped )
http://www.bristolwater.co.uk/leisure/c ... ocMaps.asp
There is a cafe there and facilities open from 10:30 – 4:30.
Any one wanting camping should not have a problem finding sites, time of year depending, or there are loads of bed and breakfast in Weston 15 miles, Cheddar 9 miles, Bristol or Bath also Bristol airport is not far away with the usual hotels.

Barrow Gurney is the one that shouts the most but I would imagine all the villages suffer the curse of tom tom

Oh dear you`ve started me off on one now, been my birthday an all, thought I might spoil myself and the handbrake, so I`ve started checking out B&B local to the picnic areas

and for the Saturday night

obviously has to be very very close (walking distance)to good food and fine ale

it`s looking good so far
I`ll keep you posted.

It's Adrian's birthday a month later so we'd better come along too.

I will get there as early as possible but as the cafe opens at 10.30 I would say 11.00 would be a good time to plan on arriving.

In my post above is the closest post code I can find and will get you near the picnic area, it is on Walley road just out of Chew Stoke heading toward Bishop Sutton.
On th map link I posted I noticed there are 2 pinnic areas marked, we want the top one of the 2 as that has the shop, facilities etc
