Autobox sluggish

My autobox has been sluggish to change up over the past 10 days - thought it was due to the cold snap but it's still been sluggish even on Sunday's mini heat wave!
I changed the fluid around 10,000 miles ago and cleaned the filter so it shouldn't be that.
Tonight I unplugged and replugged all the gearbox electrical connecters, including the one from the centre of the cylinder head to the ECU - job done - now changes up perfectly again. Tomorrow I'll do it again but spray some electrical cleaner in the connectors.

Update on the gearbox repair - fitted a new TPS - took a chance and fitted it to exactly the same position as the old one (scribed round the sensor first to mark the position) - the 'box is performing better than ever - smoother changeup than ever before and runs down to a true 35 mph in lockup. Even pulls well at 40 mph on around quarter throttle in lockup without kicking down - v. pleased, although £111 lighter

Cheap at the price by the sound of it

I know... labour costs are expensive eh!!
Will you be making that back in fuel costs, (over a long period of time?) as your running more efficiently now?

Dunno donald - I'd probably save more taking the roofbox off!
I do find it nicer to drive though - and ithought it was ok before................
