Central Locking Clicking on Sliding Door

Hi guys,

On and off I've noticed a clicking noise occasionally. This weekend just gone, my kids noticed that the sliding door lock kept clicking, same noise as if you were locking and unlocking the car.

Has anyone else experienced this and how did you fix it. My first port of call will be to clean the electrical contacts as I've also noticed sometimes you have to slam the door to get the electric closer to work so I'm hoping that is the most likely thing.

Thanks for any help.

Andy

They do advise not to slam the door, as it can cause damage. To save typing, I've found a few posts that cover most of the door operations, hope they help. :)

Hi
They do that occasionally....it's just the sliding contacts sticking....a bit of lube, and clean the contacts with 600 grit wet/ dry....using it dry....keep a bit in the glove box.
Cheers

Lube all the moving parts on the door slider mechanisms too & clean out any crap in any of the runners.
