Heater fan

hi all

The Heater fan has stopped working again , took the resistor thingy apart last time and soldered it back together ,It has come apart again is there any way you could jump wire the plug ,so the fan would be on one speed when you turn the switch on.

It's probably blowing because there's a problem with the fan, check the fan spins freely. If it doesn't then the bush has seized and needs freeing off. Not sure that a single speed switch is the answer.

Take the air vent off from under the bonnet and see if the fan motor spins freely, might be worth a bit of an overhaul, not a big job to take out and service.

thanks for the swift reply , the fan is free enough the drain hole is clear ,
was just curious because when the switch is set to slow is when heat is generated ,
it`s my prowess withe the soodering iron that has let me down this time

i just thought it would be a quick fix to keep your screen clear if you were on holiday or a long trip

I guess that direct feeding it would set it max speed? There will undoubtedly be electrickery issues though. Best to fix as per mazda made it otherwise complications may follow! The fact shhets are good for fixing fan troubles.
