Removing Rear Bumper

Any tips on how to get the rear bumper off. I have had a quick look and can't see anything obvious. I can't see how it is fixed near the rear wheel arches.
Thanks in anticipation.

Cor, done that and it wasn't hard, but can't remember now. I'm sure I just got myself under the vehicle with a torch and it all became more obvious. Now, did I have to unscrew the plastic trim that runs across the floor where it meets the tailgate opening, in order to reveal bolts (or was that another job

). Then around the wheel arches, there may be some smaller retaining lugs/blots.
Sorry I can't be more help - old age has befuddled me brain mightily

I see where you are coming from mike...If we lay on our backs under the rear of the bongo, with open toolbox at hand,it wouldn't be a case of rocket science to remove the bumper. I wouldn't know as i've never done it, but i gather from what you say, there isn't a couple of mysterious hidden bolts that simply CANNOT be got at? (i hate that)

I have seen a bumper removed from vehicles at wheelquick in less than 5 minutes, admittedly, they will have done it before, and know where the fixings are,but all the same,it can't be that tricky if you tackle the job methodically.

I removed mine day before yesterday to fit a towsure towbar. Two screws either side, one top, one bottom where it meets the wheel arch. On my van the top ones are hidden between the bumper and the mud flaps, they have to be moved apart. Four nuts on the inner side of the bumper, two near the exhaust support bracket and two on the other side, like mirror image. Disconnect the fog light and remove. About five minutes. If you need pictures look at the fact sheet on towbars in the members area.

Were the ears real or did they come with the costume?
