Back Flushing Tip

I recently replaced all my main hoses with silicone pipes. I took one of the old radiator pipes, cut it in half & fitted at standard Hozelock connector in the end (with assistance from a spare hose clip & glue gun). This meant I could fix the garden hose to the bottom of the rad to reverse flush the system. Depending on what you do with rad & expansion tank caps, and the bleed pipe, you have plenty of places for the 'dirty' water to come out of. You will also get a trickle from the hose on the bottom of the 'stat where it has been disconnected from the rad. I took the 'stat out when I last flushed it out to ensure good flow.
