hi Stansyerman

lift the tail gate and on the outer edges there will be 2 bolts on each side
undo them and lift
but watch the wires for the brake light
they should be on snap connector

hope this helps

There's a good chance that there will be body moulding tape in place too if the spoiler has been removed in the past for any reason. Steady as ya go....

No, it's just a plug. You will see it when you (slowly) remove the spoiler. But before pulling the plug apart, take measures to make sure that the lead does not disappear inside the spoiler (like wot I didn't do and had to get a wire coat hanger.......)

I was just gonna add something to that effect ian.... After releasing the plug connector, "bulk out" the actual plug part by wrapping insulation/masking tape around and around the plug, till its so big it physically can't drop inside the tailgate to the depths of nowhere!

Before you cut the spoiler consider getting some new top brackets made.
Ive just had some done for my t4 rack they will fit with the spoiler just have to cut & drill the top of the rack. Havent got round to refitting yet, will try to post some pics when I do.
