Hi all.
Have read loads about tyres and alloys but the more i read the more im confused.
Bevs 4x4 Bongo has 215/65R/15 96H fitted all round. They are brand new and i cant really justify changing them yet.
Would these tyres fit onto 15" alloys.?? Or if i buy alloys do i also need to buy low profile tyres. Im confused AND just to complicate matters would 15s look stupid with a full body kit.
Cheers Bev.

Hi Bev,our tyres were fitted onto alloy wheels. I think they have to be a similar width to the steel wheel, but thats about all. As for 15s looking stupid with a full body kitted, definitely not!!

Have a look at the "Pimp My Bongo" section and then Whole Kit And Kaboodle Almost!! We've posted some pictures on there,so you can see what the 15s look like.Cheers,Lee.

No

That is simply a matter of opinion and if you ask 10 Bongo owners you will probably get at least 11 different opinions.
That is simply my personal opinion based on about 40 years experience of having tyres fitted to many different cars - other opinions are available.

I just transfered my steel wheel tyres straight to the new ( refurbed) alloys
Alloys
Steels

with ford style wheel trims fitted
No problem as I stayed with standard wheel profiles
good luck

This one is quite straight foward - you have the correct load rated tyre and size for the rear wheels, but in this case allround. There are many owners running same size all round on 4wd and if you are going to do this you need the higher load rating which you have.
Standard bongo alloys are 15" so a transfer of tyres should be straight foward and due to people changing to larger wheels there should be some alloys going quite cheap.
Get a cheap set and pay around £10 a wheel to change over - job done.

Wheels now bought without the hassel thanks to you all.
