Chums

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I wuz a norty boy on hols and drove Bongo through a lot of big puddles (the biggest feature of this years holiday weather) to make lots of spray and delight the kids.

Unfortunately, my spotlamp relay was not properly mounted (i.e. dangling upside down) and it's colver filled with water and I the fuse in the connector block went into meltdown, stuffing the whole thing). It would mkae life easier if I could find an exact replacement (unplug old, plug in new etc.) but I've had no luck identifying one on t'internet.

The relay part number is 0332 019 151 (12v/30A). I can find those OK on ebay but I can't find the relevant connector block. I did find a pic of the unit (minus clear plastic cover, but I can use the one of the old unit) and it looks like this:

(mine is the one labelled No.1 in the photo)

If anyone can point me to a source for this relay/base block I wouldn't 'arf be grateful. I wonder if I'm being stupid bothering to get an exact replacement - maybe I should just get something cheap of ebay and make up new connections etc.

PS - note to self - must stop driving full tilt through puddles :(

Hello dude,

If i were you all i would do is get two new relays (cheap enough from most car places or ebay) then ditch the base unit and get some yellow crimps and connect it that way.

Job time 1/2 hour then cup of tea and pat on back,

chris

You're probably right Chris. Just that the Bosh unit is neat and it annoys me to hell I can't locate a matched replacement. but if no luck on here, that's what I'll do. Thanks for the jog! 8)
