I seam to remember that a microswitch can be reset with a well positiond technical thump

trouble is I am not sure where and too big a thump could leave a dent may be worth trying though

hi flippa, theres some suggestions in the fact sheet area of the site, dont know if youv'e looked, when my sliding door jammed i used the poke with a pointy stick method.the area i targeted was the mechanism located towards the bottom of the door about halfway along the door itself.managed to do this by just unclipping the door panel and gently easing it down without taking off the door handle.the poking around resulted in a loud bang and me thinking iv'e really broken it now,but low and behold the door opened must have just got stuck so with this in mind sprayed the mechanism with wd40.no problems since, fingers crossed!hope this helps.

Hi Flippa
The handle just pushes back on with the circlip in place if you dont lose it getting off. Put it back on with the loop upwards then you can see to get a hook on it next time.
With the side panel off you can play with the rods and switches Mind your pinkies in the works.
probably end up with black sticky everywhere. Good luck
Brian

Hi
Excellent....I must remember to carry a spare Muhammed Ali in the toolbox, in case my door needs a thump   ....glad it's fixed. Just an aside, I find the contacts cause problems, and I have found that if they are kept CLEAN and DRY, there's no problem....WD40 doesn't seem to be a good idea....i've used it , and had to clean it off.....600 grit wet and dry, and wipe clean....no probs.
Cheers
Helen

We thumped ours on a regular basis when it was stuck. Later found a connection block in door pillar behind magnetic contact thing. Pushed this together and no door problems for over a year.
