Hi all, Having read many messages on the forums regarding the diesel & overheating, can anyone tell me if the V6 is prone to the same problems & is the temp guage as unreliable

Hi guys apparently not but dont qoute me, get the v6 it worth it

I have put the coolant loss alarm on mine and recently the mason temp alarm to be safe but only cause my waterpump is a bit noisey on startup for a few mins. cheaper option than the pump and belts

and besides the pump may be fine for sometime, i'll trust my judgement.
ps has it been blowing a gale down there

I do think haydns coolant loss is just as important aswell guys the water pipes are gettin old on most of these bongo's, when and if the time comes of one of me pipes lettin go i'll be speakin to flippa about a set of silicon ones, but there is an elusive one that can't be had yet

Only had the Bongo for three weeks done about 700 miles, averaging 29.5 mpg. mostly motorway 65 mph.
better than expected.

Almost 30 mpg is pretty good, well done, AND petrol is a good bit cheaper than diesel. (At the pump, not to produce.)
