Hello everyone out there in Bongoland,

Just wondering what type of engine oil is best suited to my 2.5 V6 Bongo that's done just under 60k miles? I've had diesels for ages so am a bit out of the petrol loop.

Cheers in advance!

Dom

Hi Cheffy,

Just wondering what the 'Extra Privelige' us V6 owners have actually is? (As you can probably tell, i'm a complete novice under the bonnet).

Cheers!

Hey dom how go :?: you won't find much under the bonnet mate :D we have many extra privalages mainly with a bigger £ value, 2 head gaskets not 1, if i'm not mistaken 2 heads not one, each head runs 3 cylinders, i'll get struck by lightning now for quoting that if i'm wrong, cambelt etc considerably more expensive but it is bigger than the diesal, but believe me i wouldn't chop my v6 in for a diesal ever, i test drove many diesals b4 i tried only the one v6 and it came home with me, the rest is history, parts ain't that bad to get hold off, servicing yourself is easy, oil, filters, brakes etc all avail over the shelf. In my eyes dom you made the correct decission in gettin the v6 i thought it was smoother running, quieter and quicker and for me more desirable if i hadn't have got the v6 i prob wouldn't have bought a bongo
