Solar panel battery charger

Are these compatible with a Bongo and if so how do you fit one?

Yes - connect it to the battery, with the clips provided, and place it on the dashboard. I use a small one to keep my starter battery topped up when not using van - not much good for anything else though. You'd need a huge panel to charge a leisure battery.

Thanks for that- there's one for sale for £50 in my local paper. May be worth buying, then.

Maplin do a 13W panel that folds on half in a briefcase style for £50. My fridge is a Waeco I think and consumes about 40W so the 13 W panel could help prolong the leisure battery life, depending on the efficiency of the unit i.e. does it actually outout 13W to charge the battery.

That's probably it's maximum output when in full sun and angled to face the sun.
