My mechanic has just found a small leak of diesel coming from the nut that is on the rotor cover - The nut that is shaped like a triangle. I've got to get it fixed at LSUK in Wallisdown Road tomorrow and leave it for a few days, but can anyone tell me what I should be doing/any tips about it etc?

Trouble is I am off to France next week as well - Hence the service done today [-o< [-o<

Cheers

Nick

I've had a slight drip from my diesel injector pretty much since I bought the Bongo 18 months ago. Keep meaning to get it fixed but haven't got around to it. Doesn't seem to do any harm except you know where the old girl has been parked outside the house as she's left her mark (takes me back to the 1960s, leaky motorbike engines etc.). I can get a slight smell of diesel in the cab in traffic but fixed that with a scavenger fan over-ride switch. Flick scavenger on, no more whiff of diesel plus cab a lot cooler. Oingy Boingy is going off this morning to a specialist as my mechanic thinks it's worth checking over - Going to LSUK (Diesel injection specialist) in Wallisdown, Poole

I'll let you know what happens when she's back

Cheers though

Nick

It looks like a new nut is needed, and they are awaiting one tomorrow or Thursday and all ready by Friday. There was a leak, which he said was not the end of the world as we had caught it in time - Thanks to my mechanic - Nice one Martin =D> =D> =D> =D>

Highly recommend him - MJ Autos in Broadstone - Mobile Mechanic =D> =D>

Oingy Boingy is now back at home and looking forward to our 4 week holidays.

It was just a slight leak and it cost me £132 in total, but it was better to find out now than in the middle of the Massif Central :|

   £132........................I would ask for the old nut...........trousers and down come to mind.
IT'S A BLOODY O RING.
Mike, go to Wheelquick ask if you can borrow the triangular tool I made to remove it. Easy 1/2 hour job.
