Electric blind stops too high ?

Hi,

Just back from our first weekend away in our 'new' Bongo and what fun it was :D Already have a long list of mods we'd like to add, but first I'd like to fix the rear drivers side electric blind which stops about 1" high .. and I can't for the life of me see why ? :? I can't pull it down further by hand but the track itself looks clear. Is there a posting somewhere giving details of the blind's mechanism etc ? Everything else works fine :)

TIA

PS : where's a source of the little circular rear curtain runners (the type that sew on to the curtains). Need one of them to keep things neat and tidy .

May help, can't understand why it won't pull down even if the motor won't take it all the way unless there's an obstruction in the track :?

Thanks .. I also feel it could be the track blocked or warped ?.. but couldn't yet find anything. I may take the window out (or release the catch) to have a better look inside the tracks.

BTW, missfixit70, there was no need to take your Bongo apart just to take a photo for me  luckyI didn't ask about piston rings

That's what us Fury folk are like  anything to help a member in distress  , Its dead easy to take the trims off to get to the mechanism, better option rather than the window, just undo the relevant handle at the top, seatbelt if you need to & pull the trim (trying not to lose the little metal clis as they ping), easy. you may need to take the bottom one off too, just remove or move the seat out of the way (depending which seat you've got), undo the bottom seatbelt bolt & pop off the panel again, disconnect the window switch then pop it out of the panel & reconnect it again for testing purposes as the electric bit won't work even from the front without it in.

If you stick your location in your profile (in the "User control panel" - top right of the screen) then you may get some local Fury assistance :D

I was quite suprised how easily the rear panels come out. I don't think i even broke one clip unlike my old Hondas that seemed to snap from every fixing point.

All sorted :D ... thanks for all the pics/advice. Gently pulled back the trim below the window and found a small spring clip thingy sitting in the track. Pulled it out and now the blind drops down perfectly.
