Bongo wagon curtains - Help!

Hi, am a first time owner but of a wagon rather than a friendee.......am I still allowed in?!

I have loads of questions and I really hope you will be able to help me! I am based in Cornwall and I am trying to persuade my in-laws to come with me to a meet as they have a Friendee (thats what got me started!).
I have looked all over the net and in the forum to see if any of my questions have been answered before but no luck.
My main question is......the wagon has electric curtains, not blinds, and there is a control panel for opening and closing them but it isn't plugged in anywhere......where does it go??? There are separate controls for rear passengers to open and close the rear curtains and they don't seem to work either.
If you can help me or know someone that can I would really appreciate it!
Thank you!

Hi & welcome - even if you've not got a "proper" bongo

Are you sure there is anything to connect to? is it an optional extra that hasn't been fitted ( as with the electric blinds on a freindee)? what bits are missing? maybe someone started upgrading to electric curtains & stopped halfway through? Sorry, I can't be more helpful, someone may be along that can.

thank you and you may be right. I havnt had a chance to have a really good look round the rear seating area yet. There are wires coming out from the rails s it may well be that I will have to finish the job!
Am planning on upgrading to a "proper" bongo when I can afford it!!!

Thank you. Picture a Toyota Hi ace wagon and thats it just got a storage area on the roof (which I cant get into!). Apparently they only made a few hundred of the "active runner" wagons in Japan so mine could be one of very very few in this country.

Managed to find out where the controls for the curtains plugged in......just got to make them all work now!

I'm dying to see a pic of this machine!...I know that normal "bongolows" are dubbed as "city runner's" in japan... Never heard of an active runner version before...
(just when you think you've seen em all

sorry I cant get on the net very often. I live very near to the Ponsmere hotel. Love it in Perranporth. Wish I hadn't got the curtains working now cos all my daughter does is play with the controls......might unplug them again!
if you go to youtube and type in bongo wagon you can see original japanese ads for the wagon.....mine just has storage on top for skis, a rare model and only a few hundred made with the storage on the roof....appealing to the skiing fraternity in japan!

This isn't mine.......I don't think......but take the bars off the front and its spookily, exactly like mine! Holes for the bars on the front of mine where they have been removed so you never know!
