while washing the Bongo today I noticed I have a crack it the front bumper just beside the numberplate. It has not cracked right through but is still connected at the top cracked at the bottom. Can this be repaired? if so how? I will try and post a photo tomorrow so it may make more sense!!!!

any help appreciated thanks in advance.

Bigdaddy put me on to Sikaflex, which I was able to buy direct over the phone from Sika for around £15 posted. Needs a mastic gun to use. Formidable stuff. If you keyed the bumper at teh back with rough emery paper, made a bandage out of something strong but not brittle (nylon maybe) and smeared Sikaflex into it before putty knifing it in place, then I doubt it would fail to make a lasting bonded repair across the split.

I actually got into melting and welding my bumper (with the help of NeilT), then filling and spraying, and it worked a treat. But it was a much bigger bit of damage than yours and would be too radical (and time, effort and £ intensive) for what you need to do I reckon

thanks Mike for the response I only noticed it as I was giving her a wash cracked next to number plate in what I can only describe as the mesh pattern still intact at the top broken at the bottom of one vertical "band" will look up the stuff you mentioned thanks....
