Hi all, just been looking into getting the old Bongo Waxoyled but which one do I go for Black or Clear?
I have read the black is the best ( a landrover forum), I didn't even know there was a choice of colour.
So any feed back would be great, cheers.

I went for black because it's easier to see where you've done.

I don't think it matters as long as it stays facing the tarmac

I also read to jack the back of the car up, so it will run down the chassis legs?

Make sure you are wearing clothes you are happy to throw away, protect the drive from any droppings and sprayings, and wear a respirator.

And make sure the black stuff is waxoyl and not underseal as that cracks over time - at least that's what folks seem to say

I put my waxoyl tin in a cool box full of hot water, but I'd water it down with white spirit a bit more next time as well. Doesn't taste very nice either

Cheers guys, will take on board your tips.
Just to let you know I have just bought 5L tin of the black from halfords for £19.99, which seems a very good price. :D

Max

How are you doing the boxed pillar sections round the windscreen? Mine are blistering on the outside, so I'd like to inject some in there somehow, I presume there's a probability of the waxoil sliding down into the cab.

Also, what about the damp that could be in there?

I don't know  haven't thought of those pillars
I would assume the plastic will come off on the inside and will have holes somewhere? will let you know if I get that far :D

That would be good. I've noticed others with the same, so could be week spot
