How easy is it to remove? It would be handy to get at wiring behind. If it's not easy, I'll just get at it by removing glovebox, but it is quite a stretch from there.

dont actually think you can remove the cubby ,its part of the dash. ive had a look and its not slotted in like the radio dins, it seems part of the moulding.

Mine definitely doesn't detach from the dash, that being said it's quite easy to reach from the removed glove box. I added a twin socket into mine by drilling through from there.

Good luck.

By removing the glove box & little side panels either side below the cubby (prise the middle of the popper gently, pull the whole popper out, then it just unclips) you should have access to pretty much anything you need to :D

Thanks to everyone who replied, and especially to Kirsty. I'll have to try that when I get a chance. Thanks again.

Depending on what wiring you need to get at, you may want to take out the clocks too. It's so nice to have a vehicle that you can get at whatever you need too with the minimum of dismantling.
