Bongo Fury

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I had booked my dual battery Bongo in to have a split charge relay fitted with a local auto electrical firm. However they are saying that there usual supplier is to struggling to source one. Willington doesn't seem to have any kits available on e-bay right now so I was wondering if anyone knows of a decent alternative supplier.

I am travelling from Hull to Zeebrugger on Sun for 3 weeks camping, so I'm getting a bit desperate!

If you are getting an autospark to do it then he will have no probs understanding it.

The BEP marine VSR is quite good value.

I tried looking on the BEP website but it's not respondning and Google has listed as a security risk so take care if you try to view it

I'm Just wondering if the 30amp relay on e-bay will be adequate Willingtons say they are 100amp. Any thoughts ?

I fitted the 100A relay with 50A fuses and made up leads from parts - it's a hassle but it worked for me.
From what I can see this is the right one:

60amp is the absolute minimum I would ever consider using. 100amp is best I think. 30amp is likely to melt if your battery is low, and your alternator starts pushing out 45amps or more.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Nagares relay isn't voltage sensing.

As missfixit says, try emailing willinton via ebay.

If you can 't get one of those go and want to get the job done with minimum fuss in time for your hols get a BEP.

If the BEP is too expensive buy a TEM3m and use it to energise the Nagares (or similar high current relay) like the one Cloughy and Moonshine are refering to. By the time your sparky has added the extra wiring / parts etc I'm sure the BEP woould have paid for itself!

I think willinton modifies the Nagares relay to make it voltage sensing. He had 2 on ebay earlier this evening: I bought one & the other one seemed to vanish too. definitely worth dropping him a message if you are still interested.

Your right Simon, Willinton does modify the Nagares. If you buy one from anywhere else it won't do any voltage sensing.

I ordered the Willington in the end, not cheap but hopefully worth it.
