I think I know the answer but going to ask your opinion

I have a leisure battery which has not been used for 4 years. I have connected it to my split relay charger and went for a drive for half an hour. It does not seem to hold the charge.
should i

1) Buy a new leisure battery
2) Buy a Battery charger

Your advice is appreciated

Thanks

Hi JR,
Way past its sell,buy,date.
Not using a battery for 4 years is not recommended.
Bin it and start again.
If you do manage to charge the battery,it will soon lose the charge.

I've "recovered" a few batteries with an "inteligent" deep pulse type charger. I don't know a lot about the science of it but the pulsing can help rejuvinate the plates.

They come in about £30 so you might be better as dolly says and spend another 30 quid on a new battery................
