Popped in to see Mike at Wheelquick today, to arrange a service & replacement of cambelt on my new Bongo and really wish I had bought one from him. What a great, helpful bloke he is. I now know what I need to keep an eye on to keep my Bongo running smoothly. I'm seriously thinking about selling mine and buying one from him.

I can't praise him enough, just for the time he took today to show me around my vehicle and the advice he offered.

take care
Jacky

& me.

Should start up a Wheelquick fan club site. . . .?

I could spend days & days there, a true Alladins Cave & font of all knowledge.

A superb public service.

Respect to Mike & Mike.

Strange, but then we don't know all the details?

No details really - wanted to buy a Bongo from them, paid deposit. Was unhappy with communication about bongo, decided to buy from somewhere else.....still waiting for refund...

Not wanting to bad mouth Wheelquick, but my experiences are not what one would expect reading this forum.

Surely the understanding is that the deposit secures the vehicle and if you terminate the deal you lose the deposit? :?

Nope - deposit is 100% refundable, which was clearly explained to me when I went to purchase the vehicle.
Give them their dues when I asked for refund and said I didn't want the Bongo they happily agreed to refund me - however still haven't seen the refund - doesn't take long to credit money back to a debit card.....

I suspect it will arrive back before long....now that 'the boys' are aware

What I'm curious about is what turned you off the Bongo, as they seem to do nothing but wall to wall good Bongos and good after sales service.

Good luck anyway 8)

I just got back from whhelquick. picked up a drop link after mot advisory. Mike seems a great bloke, gonna sort out a waxoyl for me. First dealings Ive had with them but went after hearing only good things on the forum, and wasnt disappointed, he really seems to know his stuff. Hope the deposit shows up soon that could nearly buy a full tank of diesel :P

Hurray deposit now back thankfully - looks like Mike snr entrusted someone else with it all and they had told him it was sorted every time I phoned, sounded like a right royal rollicking occurred....so despite the lengthy time taken all is forgiven.

As for the Bongo Mikeonb4c - the price I had agreed on with Mike included a part conversion, however not sure Mike had much experience of getting these sorted and I got impatient when nothing had happened after 3 weeks (knowing that I was still a couple of weeks min off getting it due to nothing being done on the conversion front in terms of being booked in etc)....

Anyhow I actually picked my new bongo up yesterday fresh from Stan at Caravan Supplies....
I got it from Ian Taylor who I cannot praise enough (reasons will be clear on my thread when I post piccies) so I got there in the end....
