Bongo Fury

I have got hold of some Mazda alloy wheels which I am going to put on our Bongo ,the tyres they have on them are 205/65/15 load 94. Can I use these for the front wheels?
At the moment I have 195/70/15 tyres on the front and 215/65/15 tyres on the rear.

They're more than adequate for the front, matey.

Anything 92 or over is all you need.

I take it that yours is a 2wd?

If not, make sure you fit the same aspect front & rear to avoid future drivetrain problems.

Its 4wd.

I have looked in the owners manual

For Model KD-SGL5]which is 4wd

tyres size- Front 195/70r15 92s
tyre size - Rear 215/65r15 96s

I just wondered if I could keep the tyre on the alloys on the front, which are 205/65r15 94w.
I think I have answered the question my self which is no you cant.
Am I right?

Mine had 205/65x15 all round on a 4wd - no problems, but slightly undersize.

I think franco is right. There was a concern about 'wind up' in the viscous coupling on 4WD if Mazda recommended tyre sizes were not fitted, but the eventual conclusion was that there was not a risk, and that the different sizes were to do with handling considerations.

I'd relax I think

I'd stick the 92s on the front, and then get a 96 or above equivalent size for the rear, no probs with running the same size all round on a 4wd bongo,i rotate the wheels twice yearly to keep the tread depth balanced.

Same size no probs sir, but am I right in thinking if you have 70's on the front & 65's on the rear on a 4wd, trouble may be looming?

Jolly rogers could use 205/65/15 tyres all round on his 4wd MM, not ideal, but could use them with no damage to the four wheel drive system.

The different sizes reffered to on the info plate has more to do with inducing understeer into the bongo's handling characteristics than owt else.
